About Me

DSC_0223
Here is my testimony and journey thus far

My Christian life began one November night when I was just 6 years old.  I was getting ready for bed and my mom came into my bedroom and told me a story of how a man named Jesus died on a cross so that we can all have eternal life.  I prayed the prayer that night that changed my life forever because I was going to spend eternal life in heaven rather than a  life on eternal separation in hell.  I would then spend the rest of my childhood going to church on Sunday and Awana on Wednesdays, but always just kind of going wit the flow and staying under the radar.  As a teen I was fortunate to make some Christian friends in high school to being a Christian around them was easy.  I then attended a Christian college, which was good for my spiritual development but did not really stretch me much around other non-believers.  I was fortunate to take a mission trip to Guatemala during my sophomore year, which was a life-changing experience.  My post college years have also had their ups and downs.  I was plugged into a singles group for awhile but that fell apart.  My sister married a wonderful man a couple of years ago and since then I have been living on my own.  This has been a challenge in a way because it is hard to have accountability with no one watching you.  Because of this I fell away from going to church or reading my bible.  Recently I the Lord allowed me to pass my certification test (CTR or certified tumor registrar) which changed will significantly change my income and work (I will be working from home).  This allowed me to have the finances to start going to church with my mom (which is the church I attended as a teen but have not been to for about 5 years).  Last week was my first week back and it was a wonderful experience.  Just this week I feel a significant change that I have not felt for quite some time.  I definitely feel that this only the begging of a new life for me!

My Craft Room/ Soon to be Home Office

This is my craft room for know, but once I start working from home (Lord willing in just a couple of weeks) this will also be my office.

The top bin is where I keep all of my finished and washed yarn crazy products.  This keeps the cat hair off of them so they get delivered as clean as I can get them.  The bottom bin is my overflow yarn collection  but will house more finish products once the top bin becomes too full.

Where I iron all of my fabric.  The bust where I take pics of my scarves is also down there.

The candle to for melting edges for satin flowers, crochet hooks for crocheting, and zippers to be used for handbags and clutches (both sewn and knitted)

Where I keep all of my sewing supplies.  The top is orange because I got it on clearance at Target just after Halloween (gotta love plastics bins that are cheap just because they have holiday colors Smile)
DSCN2692
My fabric storage.  I spent the last couple of nights cutting up a whole bunch of USPS priority boxes that I had that I was never going to use (because I do not ship that way anymore).  It was perfect to make little “bolts” to hold my fabric on.

Drawer filled with remnant balls of yarn.

The corner where I take pics of my yarn crazy products.  I also have a piece of white knit fabric I use to cover the table.  I keep it in drawer because my cat likes to lay right here (Louie in the one in the pic).

My desk, which currently has my sewing machine on it, but My work computer will go here.

My college diploma (top frame) and the frame that will house my CTR certification when I get it.  This frame was a gift from my coworkers for passing my test.
